Two Fresno Men Killed in Fatal Crash at Cornelia and Lincoln Avenues

Two families are grieving the heartbreaking loss of Diego Garcia Tepec, 56, and Juan Ortega Juarez, 57, of Fresno, following a fatal crash Monday morning in Fresno County.

Their lives were suddenly taken in a devastating collision at Cornelia and Lincoln avenues. For the people who loved Diego and Juan, the pain of their absence will be felt in countless moments, memories, and days ahead. The California Highway Patrol said the crash was reported around 8 a.m. One vehicle was traveling at approximately 55 mph when another vehicle behind it approached at a high rate of speed and, for reasons still unknown, failed to see the vehicle ahead.

The second vehicle struck the first, causing severe damage and trapping Diego and Juan inside. Both vehicles spun out of control, and the two men were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital. Authorities said alcohol or drugs are not suspected to have contributed to the crash.
