In Loving Memory of Zachary Ty Johnston, 24

With heavy hearts, we remember Zachary Ty Johnston, a 24-year-old motorcyclist whose life was tragically lost in a crash on State Route 167 in Auburn, Washington.

The fatal collision happened shortly after midday on Monday, September 28, 2026. At approximately 12:46 p.m., Zachary was involved in a crash on southbound SR 167 near milepost 15, just north of SR 18.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him on Tuesday, September 29. The medical examiner reported that Zachary died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the collision.

The Washington State Patrol reported that speed and an improper lane change were listed as factors causing the crash. A car was involved, and authorities said the driver of that vehicle would be charged with vehicular homicide.

While the circumstances surrounding Zachary’s death are being addressed by authorities, those closest to him are left with the profound pain of saying goodbye.
