In Loving Memory of Robert E. Short

With heavy hearts, we remember Robert E. Short, 61, of Glen Allen, Virginia, who passed away tragically on Friday, September 25, 2026, following a single-vehicle automobile accident in Hanover County.

At approximately 10:03 p.m., deputies with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 15200 block of Ashland Road after receiving a report of a vehicle crash. According to the preliminary investigation, Robert was traveling westbound on Ashland Road in a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and collided with several trees.

Robert was the sole occupant and operator of the vehicle. Despite the response of Hanover Fire and EMS personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His passing leaves behind family, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. During this difficult time, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Robert’s family and everyone who knew and loved him.
