In Loving Memory of Jaroe J. Perry

With broken hearts, we mourn the tragic passing of 41-year-old Jaroe J. Perry of South Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania, whose life was taken in a shooting in Allentown Tuesday night.

Jaroe’s sudden death has left his family, friends, and loved ones facing a devastating loss. He was a cherished part of the lives of those who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt. As those closest to him grieve, they will hold onto the memories, love, and moments they shared with Jaroe.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. in the area of South Front Street and East Cumberland Street in Allentown. Jaroe was transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 9 p.m.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office & Forensic Center determined that Jaroe died from gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.

The Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and Lehigh County Coroner’s Office are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The investigation remains ongoing.
