MIDLAND, Texas<\/strong> \u2014 A 22-year-old woman was killed Wednesday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Midland, according to local authorities.<\/p>\n

The Midland Police Department said officers responded to the area near the intersection of Front Street and Fairgrounds Road at approximately 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, after receiving a report of a crash.<\/p>\n

According to police, the collision occurred west of the intersection on Front Street and involved a 2005 Honda Accord<\/strong> and a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Investigators determined that the Jeep was traveling westbound in the inside lane of Front Street when the Honda Accord, which was leaving a private driveway, pulled into the roadway and into the path of the Jeep.<\/p>\n

The Jeep then struck the driver’s side of the Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda sustained fatal injuries in the collision.<\/p>\n

Authorities identified the victim as 22-year-old Anna Rubio Galindo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Officials said Galindo’s next of kin has been notified. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Midland Police Department.<\/p>\n
